Oxygen is now at our home. It is to be used when Brayden goes into his big seizures. The past several ER visits, his O2 stats have been too low and he has been put on oxygen. His seizures have been causing problems, thankfully only once or twice a month.
We live in Waterford about 20 minutes (no traffic) from the local hospital. The local EMTs always arrive quickly but we have to wait for a medic to arrive which comes from one of two neighboring towns. By the time we have to call 911 and get moving in the ambulance is at least 20-30 minutes, then a drive to hospital...that is a long time.

wow - we just got the same thing. 2 seizures in the last month. one two days ago, and his o2 sats were low for a bit at the ER. we got an "ambu" bag and next week have a respiratory therapist coming to refresh us on CPR and how to use the bag. scary. but reassuring at the same time... :)
Carrie,
We have that exact same pulse oximeter, the oxygen and concentrator. I know it's tough, but it will also give you some peace of mind. Hang in there!!
Carrie
you would think we would need it the way Hudson sounds lately...
thankfully his sats on the average stay in the 90's.
I know how bulky all this equipment is, but peace of mind comes at a price, huh?
Junior has the same monitor and oxygen concentrator. With his lung issues we also have 30+ oxygen tanks in our garage.
Praying that you don't have to use it often and those seizures will stay away.
